Casting a Clay Sculpture

Getting a clay sculpture cast into another material can be a tricky and expensive business.

I've set up this blog to share my experiences of getting a life modelled figure from clay, to re-usable mould, to finished cast. I hope it will prove a useful resource.

Figure & Texture

The texture of the figure is deliberately left open and rough; I like the contrast between this and the calm nature of Fred's pose and expression.
